Welcome to the New Year, we are officially living in the future. The move toward electronics and digital anything is everywhere you look. Social media is at the forefront of the way we connect with our friends, keep in touch with family, and socialize with our colleagues. We document our lives by updating our Facebook status, sharing a photo of the gourmet dinner we cooked on Instagram, and even flirting with our favorite celebrities on Twitter. Even weddings have caught a case of the social media fever as I've notice a lot of couples using hashtags to collect the random candid shots captured by the artistic eye of all the their guests at the wedding. Think about the range of shots this gives you: an amazing photo of the look on your face as you begin to walk down the aisle, a precious shot of great grandma holding the newest family addition, or cousin Mona nearly biting it while diving after the bouquet. There are definite benefits to social media, even though it may take over our lives sometimes. Next time you have a wedding come up with your very own hash tag and notify your guests of what it is on your program, then have fun going through all the memories while lounging around on your honeymoon.
